Laura Mansell is a singer, actress and entertainer who hails from South Wales. Her varied career has taken her all over the world. She trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London where she was the recipient of both the Peter Coxhead Memorial Scholarship and the Lilian Baylis Award.
Her musical theatre roles include ‘Diva’ in the UK and international tours of ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ alongside Jason Donovan, Duncan James and Darren Day. She played the role of ‘Julia Fleshman’ in the World Premiere and UK Tour of ‘Fat Friends the Musical’ which was written and directed by BAFTA winner Kay Mellor and also starred Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, Sam Bailey, Jodie Prenger and Kevin Kennedy. Laura was cast as ‘Principle’ in the UK Concert Tour of ‘Godspell’ and played ‘Starbuck’ in the London revival of ‘Moby Dick’, directed and choreographed by Andrew Wright. She has spent the last two Christmases at Porthcawl Grand Pavilion playing the ‘baddie’ in the respective pantomimes of Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
Laura has been lucky enough to sing alongside the world famous John Wilson Orchestra as part of the Maida Vale Singers at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall on three occasions and can be heard on the ‘John Wilson Rodgers and Hammerstein at the Movies’ album which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
As a vocalist and entertainer, Laura has sung all over the world. She is an experienced and accomplished performer at weddings, special events, private parties, concerts and cabarets. With a huge repertoire spanning through the decades, Laura recently debuted her cabaret in London’s West End.
Alongside fellow Welsh artiste, Lee Gilbert and Wick’d Productions, Laura has been performing a celebration of movie musicals, ‘The Greatest Shows’ around the country and they have lots of other exciting projects in the pipeline.
On television, Laura filmed 'Stella' on Sky 1. She also performed on 'This Morning' with the cast of 'Priscilla', can be seen on the BBC Proms with the Maida Vale Singers and was a contestant on ‘The X Factor’ for ITV.
